ASCERI Scientist from 14 nations meet 14. Winter-Atomiade in Reit im Winkl
The 14th Winter Atomiade for skiing enthusiasts from European research centers and associated sports clubs took place from March 15 to 22, 2025, in Reit im Winkl. The preparation and organization were carried out by the management committee of ASCERI, with Christoph Wilhelm as the organizer of the sports competitions and the driving force behind the preparation and execution of the fun events and parties. Rachel Bray, the chairwoman of the ASCERI management committee, had the awards ceremony confidently in her hands.

Report of the annual meeting 2025 Karlsruher Turngau
Our club is a member of the Karlsruher Turngau e.V. (KTG), which in turn is a member of the Badischer Turner-Bund BTB. According to its statutes, the KTG promotes and represents the interests of its members in the field of gymnastics, competitive, recreational and health sports in accordance with the statutes of the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB). Our club, SG KIT, makes particular use of the KTG's training programs for instructors. The annual conference of the KTG took place on 29.03.25. It took place in the Geggus-Sportpark in Weingarten, the clubhouse of TSV Weingarten. With an impressive outdoor area and a building constructed in 2021, the club has a great home and was able to accommodate the more than 70 participants very well.

Self-protection and self-defense group wins Nussbaum Youth Award 2024
Our Self-Protection and Self-Defense (SuS) group from the Aikido department took part in the Nussbaum Youth Award 2024 with 60 applicants. This competition was initiated by Nussbaum-Verlag and is intended to recognize young people for good ideas and actions for the further development of our society. Solidarity and cooperation are rewarded. The aim is a future worth living with respect for people and the environment. As part of the Forum for Social Cohesion, the 1st prize was presented to our SuS group by Social Affairs Minister Manne Lucha on 12.10.2024. The Nussbaum publishing house recently interviewed our self-protection and self-defense team (SuS) in the Hermann Uebelhör sports hall. In addition to a brief review of the development of our SuS group within the Aikido department and an introduction to our trainers and young up-and-coming trainers, the article reports on our self-defense, communication and de-escalation as well as bullying prevention at schools. The article also includes a few photos and a video.
